Seed
A seed is the number that initialises an AI model's randomness. The same prompt with the same seed produces the same image; change the seed and you get a different variation of the same idea.
Generation starts from random noise, and the seed decides which noise. That makes it the reproducibility dial: lock the seed and you can change one word of the prompt to see exactly what that word does; unlock it and every run explores a different interpretation of the same description.
A concrete example: you generate a portrait you like, keep the seed fixed, and change only "red dress" to "navy dress". The pose, light and background stay put — only the colour moves — because the underlying noise never changed.
