Prompt
A prompt is the written instruction you give an AI model describing the image or video you want. It is the main control you have: subject, style, lighting, composition and mood all come from the wording.
Models do not read minds; they read prompts. A useful prompt names the subject, the setting, the light, the lens or framing, and the mood — in plain language. "Nice portrait" leaves everything to chance; "studio portrait, soft window light from the left, 85mm lens, muted grey background" leaves almost nothing.
A concrete example: adding "shot on film, slight grain" to the same prompt visibly changes the output — the model has learned what those words look like across millions of captioned images.
