Hermosso vs Higgsfield
Competitor details checked against their own pricing and documentation on 30 August 2026. These move fast — if something below is out of date, tell us and we will correct it.
Higgsfield is a video-first effects platform: cinematic camera-move presets, VFX effects applied through its DOP cinematography layer, the Soul character model for holding a face consistent across generated clips, and a bench of frontier video models — Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling and others — under one roof. You arrive wanting motion that looks like a trailer.
Hermosso is a full photo and video studio: a personal AI persona trained on your own selfies, 67 curated photoshoot packs, a UGC ad studio that turns a product URL into finished talking clips, a dedicated interiors studio, 16 video engines, five upscale tiers to 22K, and a REST API over all of it. You arrive with content to ship.
The overlap is real but narrower than the marketing suggests: Higgsfield makes stills in service of motion; Hermosso makes motion in service of finished content.

What Higgsfield does better
For cinematic, effects-driven motion, Higgsfield is better than us and it is not close. Seventy-plus camera-move presets, twenty-plus VFX effects and the DOP layer that applies directed cinematography to a generation are the core of their product; our video is deliberately lighter — a still animated into a natural short clip, talking photos, lipsync. If the brief is a dramatic crane shot or a bullet-time orbit, they are the right tool and we are not.
They also aggregate more frontier video models under one roof (Sora 2, Veo 3.1, Kling and others), and their Soul character model holds a face across motion, which is a harder problem than holding one across stills. And they sell real team plans — pooled credits on Team, Scale and Enterprise — where ours are single-seat.
What Hermosso does better
Photos of a real person. Higgsfield has a headshot app, but headshots are a side road on a video platform. A persona trained on 10–20 of your selfies in about two minutes, then 67 curated packs — professional, fashion, dating, travel — with lighting, wardrobe and grade already written: that is our core product, not an offshoot.
Ad creative as a finished deliverable. Point the UGC studio at a product URL and it writes the script, generates the scenes with a consistent AI avatar and produces the talking video clips. Higgsfield gives you effects; it does not give you the ad.
Interiors and architecture — nine operations from virtual staging to material swap against real supplier photos, built by two practising architects. No equivalent there.
One subscription covers the whole job. Generation across 17 image models, editing, five upscale tiers to 22K, 16 video engines and a REST API drawing on the same plan credits — included with Studio at $79/mo, no separate meter — against a lineup where stills, finishing and automation are not the product.
Credits that never expire, against a balance users report lapses after about 90 days.
The verdict
Choose Higgsfield if the deliverable is stylized, effects-heavy motion — cinematic camera moves, VFX shots, a consistent character inside a clip — or you need pooled-credit team plans.
Choose Hermosso if you need photos of a real person, product or UGC ad creative, interiors work, one subscription covering photo and video, or an API over the whole studio.
Using both is a real option and some creators do: Hermosso as the base layer for the person, the product and the finished assets, Higgsfield for the motion-heavy hero clip. Most people who need photos should start here; most people who need VFX should start there.

Is Higgsfield good for headshots?
Higgsfield does offer a headshot app, but headshots are a side feature of a video-effects platform. Hermosso is photo-first: a persona trained on your selfies, 67 curated packs including dedicated professional shoots, and entry pricing from $9/month with 750 free credits on signup.
Which is cheaper, Higgsfield or Hermosso?
Hermosso starts at $9/month (5,000 credits) and credits never expire. As of August 2026, Higgsfield's Starter is $19/month (270 credits), Plus $59/month ($47 on annual billing, 1,200 credits) and Ultra $129/month ($99 annual, 3,000 credits), with users reporting credits expire after about 90 days — check their site for current terms.
Does Hermosso do video like Higgsfield?
Hermosso's video is lighter by design: photo-to-video animates a still into a natural clip across 16 engines, and the studio makes talking photos and lipsync clips. For cinematic camera moves and VFX presets, Higgsfield is the stronger tool — that is its core product.
Can Higgsfield generate photos of me?
Its Soul feature keeps a character consistent across generated clips and images, but the platform's focus is motion. Hermosso is built for photos of you: a private Flux LoRA model trained on your selfies in about two minutes, 67 curated packs, and 17 image models in the Create studio.
