Camera move
A camera move is a deliberate motion of the virtual camera in a generated clip — dolly-in, orbit, whip pan, dolly zoom. Naming the move in the prompt is the strongest way to steer AI video.
Video models are trained on real footage and its descriptions, so they understand the vocabulary of cinematography. "Camera slowly dollies in" produces a different clip than "camera orbits the subject", and naming one clean move beats stacking three — the model commits to a single readable motion instead of blending them into a drift.
A concrete example: the dolly zoom — Hitchcock's Vertigo shot — keeps the subject locked in frame while the background stretches away. Written plainly into a prompt, a photo-to-video engine reproduces it from a single still.
